Welcome to the Introductory Training Course for the Erosion and Sediment Control Guideline for Urban Construction prepared for the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area Conservation Authorities (GGHA CA's). This course is intended to provide an overview of the GGHA CA Guideline. The course includes: Regulatory Requirements, Roles and Responsibilities, Effective Erosion and Sediment Control, Inspections and Performance Monitoring.

The Regulatory Authorities; Basics of Erosion and Sediment Control; Erosion control; Sediment Control; Good Housekeeping; Environmental Monitoring; and Designing an ESC Plan.

Exam: 20 Question exam; must score 75% or greater. If you do not pass, you must repeat the class and take a new exam.
Learning Objectives: Students will learn the regulatory agency requirements with
respect to Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area;
the principles of erosion and sediment control; implement good housekeeping practices;
learn to isolate work near water; become familiar with environmental monitoring and
inspection as well as design considerations of a compliant ESC plan.
